yep, I derailed again and unfortunatelly, there isn't any rescue service in trainz. If only there was a crane for getting trains back on track. Think it was one of the junction switches down near one of the major industrial estates in the Port Ogden route... hmmm...

There may not be a crane, but there are re-rail portals that can remove the train from the track and re-produce it from that portal (with full loads and driver commands as what they were at the time of the derailment)

Look for Re-Rail Portal and Re-Rail Portal Basic on the DLS (they are by maggs and their kuid numbers are kuid2:116387:5:1 and kuid2:116387:6:1 respectively - note that they are TRS2004 content, so if using the web-based DLS 'black pages', make sure the TRS2004 box is ticked)

Apropos of this, is there a way to quickly _find_ derailed trains? I'm putting together a very large layout from fishlips' Minneapolis terrain, and with up to 40 trains running at once find it difficult to locate where "consist 19", etc. is located when the announcer reports it derailed.

if you go to map mode it will show derailed trainz in red

you can rename consists to help you locate them, as well as use the search feature. press [ctrl]+[F] in Driver to bring it up then punch in the consist name ("consist 19" in your case) it should find it in the list and give you the ability to go to it.
