DEM trouble...

Now T:ANE I can get into
Howdy.

I transferred a (blank, save for HOG lines) DEM route from 06 into 10 without any trouble. However, the DEM now has random, shallow, elongated valleys and tiny, elongated hills running perpendicular to eachother (perfectly aligned with the grid) at certain spots. They were not there in 06 (although there were similarly placed random dark lines), only in 10.

Has anybody else encoutnered this sorcery?

Yup. This also happened in TRS2009 as well. It's a bug that was never fixed.

You'll also find little holes that will descend for miles into the ground along with little spikes too along a ridge. With the spikes, which I had in some coastal water areas, I lowered into a chain of small rocky islands. This was a happy accident which doesn't happen very often.

The little pits, slices, and holes are the worst to find because they hide in all different places, although along a seam. I would be very suspicious if this ever happens to a completed route that you've merged because this can cause roads, tracks, and other buildings to sink into the ground. When this happens to rail, you end up with Unable to plot route messages, and broken road crossings.

Oh Goodie ... I think I'll upgrade to a superior version from TRS2006 ... I love problems ... Seems we are constantly fixing errors and defects in Trainz ?

That's why I like TRS2006 ... No Problems, no shadow fixing, no non-compatability, runs great even on low end laptops ... etc ... etc ... !
