The answer is: Probably.
But what I think is you are trying to find a way to realize an answer to a specific question / need, but that there actually might be a better and/or easier way to solve that question. Problem is that we then need to know that question.
So my question to you is:
What is your actual question? For what are you trying to find a solution?
My guess is that you are looking for a way to calculate the length of a piece of track.
If that is indeed the case, this is the solution I suggest:
- Make a session for the route on which you like to calculate track length.
- Add the "Display Custom HUD" rule to that session.
- Put an engine on the starting position of the track you like to measure.
- Drive that engine to the end of the track you are trying to measure.
You should now be able to read out the length in the HUD.
An alternative solution could be making a consist of a specific length. I for example have a consist of 1km and 1mile in my list. Now place that consist on the track multiple times until you connected point A with point B.
