I downloaded US level crossing. It looks great but when the train approached nothing happened. The lights didn't flash and the gates didn't go down. The bell DID ring and the traffic stopped but that's all. Anyone else tried this crossing? Any ideas on how to make it work?

If you have 06 or TC, my crossings work. Type bnsf50 into the DLS search under user name 2006. my number is 39134 I have a thread going in freeware if you need more info.

Many of the built-in (and custom) crossing don't work in 06

BUT ! BNSF50 has created a whole load of different crossins (and roads to match) so search for his username on the DLS

The crossing that I can't get to work is by cloaked ghost called us level crossing. Maybe it is not supposed to work.
So far my search has come up empty for crossings by BNSF 50

Do you have the 06 box checked? If not then all you'll see under my name is a few switch machines. You must check the 06 box each time you go there it will not automatically stay checked.
 
Okay, I guess that was what I did wrong because it opened right up this time.
It's kind of confusing for me though. I don't know what all the abreviations stand for. I know some of them but not all and I don't really know which grade crossing I am d/l ing until I have it. I suppose the best thing to do is just d/l and find out later.

Here's a few
xL= x is the number of lanes crossing the rails.
xT=x is the number of tracks
OH=overhead flashing lights
NG=no gate
LED=light emitting diode lights
Quad=grass dividing strip dividing the road lanes.
315R & 45R=road crossing angle.

Those crossings do not work in TRS2006. It is a scripting issue of some kind if memory serves me. This has been a known issue for a long time.
 
Thanks for the explanation of the abreviations and to the other gentleman for letting me know the crossing doesn't work. I am using 2006 and the crossing looks really good, but if it doesn't work I am not going to place it on my route.

Sardon, you've got muddled up.

CloakedGhosts crossings do NOT work in 2006

Take the space out from between the bnsf and 50 like this bnsf50. Or write the kuid number 39134. You'll find 133 crossings and 44 roads that do work in 06. The reason I made mine was because Cloakgoust275's crossings do not work in 06 they only work in 04.

Sardon I suggest you go over to the freeware thread that I gave you a link to above, you'll find a lot of answers to your questions there. There are 67 pages of discussion about my crossings. If you don't want to read all 67 pages you can search the thread by using the thread search tool at the top of the thread to find out what you need to know or ask if you can't find it. There are a lot of pictures of my crossings there as well. Some of these crossings have some very unique features that you will either have to read the instructions located in the main folder in the readme file and or print out the picture located there as well in some for a visual explanation or ask someone for assistance.

BNSF50 I downloaded two of your crossings. 2l 1t oh straight and 2l 1t oh catwalk 45r. the straight one would not work and the 45 one does. Do you have any idea what could be wrong? This is 2006 version. I am using the 45 one. It is a great unit.

Boy you must be busy making all these items that you have in the dls. I am going to d/l some more. On my route I am using only 2 lane roads. maybe when I make a new route I will go to multiple lanes and tracks in that one.

Any piece of rolling stock on the tracks either engine or car triggers the crossing.
