Creating a route with multiple sessions.

Hi everyone.I have a few stations in for my fictional MARTA route. But before I go further I am using Trainz 2010.I want to make this route right and not find errors at the end.By that may I get some help. The problem I'm concerned is are the sessions.
Like the Harlem Line which is 1 route and has 4 session runs,I also have a partial route but I will add 2 sessions one for local service and one for express with other AI traffic.
I want to get it right before proceeding further in my route progress.
Details: All stations will be passenger enabled with the AJS invisible stations with kitbashed station objects.
I wanted to know do I just build my route first then add sessions when its done or do I do both at the sametime.I'm confused about this layer thing also.
Knowing that there will be 2 sessions there wont be any differences in the other session except the lcl and exp stopping stations.
I place 1 train for station stopping purposes to make sure the doors open and the train stops at the right place once I am done I go back to work in Surveyor and do the same but sometimes it creates a new session. And I get lost.Help would be appreciated.

you will build you route first then make the sessions
Ok thanks but don't I have to at least save a route with a session or do I clear it out? My route will be passenger enabled and I put 1 train out to test the stopping points to make sure the doors open.

I create parts of my route, then create a session to test it, then go back and add more to the route, then back to the session, tweak it, test it etc. etc.

HOWEVER . . .

One thing that affects the save function is whether your computer is logged onto the internet. I usually disconnect from the internet by disabling my wireless network when I am working on other things such as Trainz.

I have discovered that if, after opening a route to work on a session and I am not connected to the internet, the first time I try to save that session, Trainz wants me to save a new route and session. I do not have the option to overwrite current session. So I end up with multiple routes and sessions.

If my wireless network is enabled, I have no problems saving with the overwrite option. Everything seems to work the way I expect it to work.

Hope this helps.

If you have a lot of industry assets that require to be set up or assets that require you to place information into the properties of that asset, then do this first and save the session. You can then use this session to start any new session without having to set it all up again. Just make sure you save the new one with a different name.

Thanks for that tip, this will stop me having to 'trigger multiple signals' multiple times...
