Creating a bump map

Hey everyone. I'm planning on reskinning the ATSF GP60M into a BNSF GP60M-3 in H4 colors. However, the asset doesn't a bump map in which I can use to reskin the locomotive. Does anyone know how to create a bump map, not just for this locomotive, but any locomotives/assets in general that don't have one?

So far, all I've been able to do is replace the running number fonts with ones that are used on other locomotives that are very similar to what the H4 GP60M-3's use.

And before anyone asks, yes this is the default GP60M that was installed into TRS2019, one of the locomotives that you CAN'T edit. Thankfully I was able to clone this locomotive (the process of doing that was very complicated), so the original one that's installed in the game remains intact. I even repainted this locomotive before hence the BNSF logo right below the running numbers.

I don't know the model, but You can add bump map as far as there is supported material appropriately assigned. If there are only onetex materials used, no bump map can be applied.

Alright, so small bump in thread and change of plans. I've decided that I'm not going to bother with the GP60M reskin just yet, and just reskin a locomotive that does have a bump map. I've decided to reskin the BNSF ES44 into the 25th anniversary paint seeing as how it's relatively new right now, and I have yet to see any content creators make one with this paint yet.

Unfortunately, I believe I have hit a small bump in progress well before I've started. It seems that this bump map that I'm trying to white-map for reskin is not transparent for some reason, when it should be transparent. I've noticed that this happens with all of the locomotive that have a bump map. I'm not sure if I did anything wrong since this apparent with all other locomotive that have a bump map, so could someone give me any tips on how to fix. Thanks.
