Good morning all! :D

This is Myxomatosis. I have this old username that my serial number is registered under. I'm still waiting for the accounts to be merged...

Anyway, I started a route yesterday just messing around. I made some mountains and a lake. Then I realized it's potential as... a real route!

It's a Canadian Pacific route. It was meant to be a combination of the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia. I got about 7 baseboards of terrain and track done last night. I started populating it with trees and grass. I only did a small area, but I have LOTS of trees. Thanks to dmdrake for his wonderful trees, as well as some other trees from a website called Greenery or something like that. I used alot of JVC grass. It is really taking a toll on the computer, but hey, it's what you experience, not me.

Here are some shots.

I did a run through the route, and here is the part I haven't planted any trees on yet. I know it's a Chessie locomotive. It's payware from JointedRail... don't buy it though. It didn't even come with a custom cab.

I encourage comments and criticism, just keep it constructive :)
More shots to come later today... I hope you enjoy! :)

I know everyone has their own opinion but JointedRail payware is amongst the best out there. "It didn't even come with a custom cab" but that is all it doesn't come with... Everything else is custom and done with exceptional quality!

My 2 cents from all the units I own!

Well that bit is generating comments. I've got pretty much everything JR has done and it is without doubt excellent quality payware, I would recommend it unhesitatingly to anyone.

Your loss my friend...

Andy :)

Well when I spend $10 on a locomotive for Trainz, I expect a custom cab. I'm in the cab alot so I don't want to look at the default Auran cab.

UP5521: Thank you!

I won't be able to do too much over the week because of school but after homework and the gym and whatever else I have to do, I will get to the route- I'm still building up my content collection, but I am still working up the route... :)

I'm a big fan of this "potential" route :D I love north american/ canadian routes. and yeah! those trees are awesome. keep us updated on progress :)

thanks

Oh how I tire of explaining this to people...

Justin Cornell has addressed this time and time again, still users that don't hang around here all the time don't get it.
Why? Because you haven't done your research, if you would look around, before you buy it, you would already know that this has been explained from the get go.
Jointed Rail has not cheated anybody, they told us there was no cabs from the start.
Why? Because they do not have somebody to make custom cabs, do have any idea how much work goes into those?
The creator not only has to make the inside of it, but script and program for the sounds and engine spec to move at the same rate as the throttle stick that the user moves?
Sound Easy? No, it isn't easy.

Are the engines worth it still without the cabs? YES!
I personally have never seen such beautiful models, these models look just like the real thing I think, take their Illinois Central SD40-2 for example:
It is equipped with the proper Nathan P5 horn, not only does it sound like it, but the mesh on the roof looks like it.
How about the ditchlights, only a true IC fan such as myself would notice this one, while most ditchlights on other railroads are attached to square frames, the ones on the IC engines were square with rounded tops...the Jointed Rail engine is modeled as such.
Now, that is detail, right down to things like that.

These engines feature engine sounds that you won't find any where else to my knowledge, and many scripted features.
In my opinion, $10 is dang good bargain.

Know, can you really tell the community its not worth it?

Andy's quote is the best on this thread:
"Your loss my friend."
Indeed.

Cheerio,
Woody:wave:
