Count number of certain KUID in a map

Does anyone know of a way I can find out the number of a certain KUID in a map? I have tried Trainzobjects and Content Manager without any luck - but maybe I am not looking well enough or there is an easier way.

For instance, I would like something to show me that KUID xxxxxx "tall tree" is present 56 times in the map or route "Fast Line RR"

Thank you!

That data is going to be stored in the binary files of the route. It would take a program to parse those files and I don't know of one that does what you are asking. I would ask in the scripting forum.

Do the built-in Surveyor options in 2010 count the number of objects in anyway? I know one will show which item is a killer on the route, and list the number of those objects in the area, but the other I don't know.

I'm not a programmer so creating a utility to do something like this is out of the question for me, but I suppose there are those out there in the userworld that have these skills.

The performance stats just gives you the KUID and count of the asset with the worst buffer count and worst index count for the current view area. It doesn't cover the whole route just what you are seeing on screen at any moment. Trainzmap and SCS can both read the route files but don't to my knowledge display any counts of assets used.

Trainobjectz will work in this way. Load up whichever map you need and find the asset you need to know how many of. Highlight the asset and then right click on the highlighted asset. Next hover your mouse over "Find Type from Map File", click on the selected item in the box that appears and it will soon tell you how many of that asset is installed on that route.

It works for Custom content but not sure if it works with built-in content.

It doesn't work with some Spline items or Ground Textures though, (comes up with the answer of item used once in map).

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Martin.
