Could I Take Sounds from BVE to Trainz?

Hello everyone. I just recently downloaded BVE. A train program.

And i noticed how good the subway cars sound. They even had the sounds for when you turn a tight corner when driving a subway car.

That loud screaching of the wheels. I really like that sound. And then i wondered.

Could i take the sounds out from the BVE train and put it onto a Trainz Subway car?

Is that possible?

Not sure about that, but you can attach the sounds to the track instead. If you attach it to a locomotive, TRS wouldn't know when to play the sound.

Hmmmmm, is there not a copyright issue here...I suppose if you can find out who created the sound and request you use it for a free-playing train sim like Trainz, they can either say yes or no, but it may be unwise to go ahead and do anything until you have written permission first....
