cool Tracks

NYCboy

gettin bored of trainz
is there a extreme highly detailed tracks EX:the wood has cracks, the rail is very shiny and had alot of polys and does it come with 1,2,3,4 tracks.

(it comes in pairs its comes in 3 tracks etc.)

If I were you I would go for highly-detailed tracks which come in a variety of conditions and ballast colours to suit different landscapes. A good track set should come in (at least) shiny and rusty versions, a better one would have weathered and unweathered versions to go with those versions too! Besides, multi-track splines have a long list of disadvantages, such as all the tracks go in the same directions and you cannot create junctions/turnouts on them. Although tracklaying is slightly faster this way, the extra time spent is well worth it.

ok but is there a highly detailed one that can come in 1,2,3,4 etc. pairs and is in the download station

I consider the track by "delsoft " to be some of the most realistic which is why I use it all over my route. The Bullhead track by Rumour3 is also very realistic but probs no use use to you on the other side of the Pond...:p

I have downloaded what I consider proto-
MBTA 132LBS type. I belive if you just do a search for that at the station, you should be able to find it. I would also recomend picking up the MBTA Ballast as well-

My Favorite Tracks at the moment are
Rail DC detaille 10m - Fred24
Rail DC detaille 10m rouille - Fred24
Rail DC detaille 4m - Fred 24
Rail DC detaille 4m rouille - Fred 24
But bullhead tracks weren't used in america which ony used and still uses flatbottom rail.
James73s tracks are great but are British aswell.

One American track I downloaded recenlty and like is
132lb US Wood MBTA_MRT - gfisher

"Nicky" rumour3"s Bullhead tracks are as the name implies Bullhead, which was the commonest type of track in the UK till the 1970s and as far as I know wasn"t used in the USA hence my remark about "over the Pond"...:p

Lewisners right, America has only ever used flatbottom rail. Bullhead Track was used for track relaying from around 1900 - 1950 when flatbottom rail replaced them. The idea behind bullhead was that after the rail had worn, engineers could turn the rail over and use the bottom of the rail, but the railbotton ended going flat anyway from use.

Anyway back on topic with one I just rembered.

MP tracks and reskins are good.
