The Saugus River drawbridge is due for replacement at some point. It was built in 1911 and is now suffering from some structural issues. I believe the Northbound side is actually sinking and has been closed so the commuter trains have to cross over and take a single track. There are some operation issues here too with only one crossover near the bridge and the return crossover is located 3 miles away!
