My copy of TS2009 is current and has all of the updates installed but I still cannot run games labled TS2009 SP4/TS2010. Is their a procedure that can be followed to change the config file in these games so they will run in straight TS2009?:)

Hi,

The TS 2009 is currently as SP3 - the SP4 update (as and when released) is supposed to allow 2009 to read the 2010 routes - hence the SP4/2010 label.

It may be possible to edit the config.txt file of the route to change the required "build number" to one that 2009 SP3 recognises, but there are likely to be other non-backward compatible changes. In other words, it may - or may not - work.

Best course of action is to wait (patiently) until SP4 for 2009....

My theory, for content, SP's, etc, is they'll be done, when they're done, and not before - rush these things, errors will creep in and then everyone will start ranting, take ones time and try to do the best job one can, get everyone uptight and ranting that they wanted it yesterday - its a no win situation.

Your theory is wellfounded, Mulie. It's a no-win, no-win situation for the development team when it comes to a product's release. I agree let them do what they need to do without anyone pressuring them for something that'll be unfinished.

My guess is that all TS2010 routes contain speed trees which are not supported in TS2009.

That's not the problem the problem, one can build routes without Speed Trees, the block is layers which are not backwards compatible until SP4 at a guess.
