Consist Made in Surveyor & Dead Engine

Hello all, first post here and this 70 year old guy needs help please.

I purchased Trainz recently for my 6 year pld grandson and now I can't get him off my PC. He has all but given up Thomas The Tank Engine. I'm getting addicted myself.

Question, I made a consist in Surveyor on one of the existing routes here in the US, saved it, selected DCC mode and the diesel is completely dead. Can't get it started in DCC or Cab Mode. Consist looks great and I knew he would be tickled with it as it has his favorite Norfolk Southern on the head end.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards to all.

Ron

Welcome to the forum,
You have to go into survayor and go to the rolling stock tab, click the question mark, then click on the loco. A screen should pop up and it might need gas,so just click the icon that looks like gas(or something close to it) and then place the amount in it. If you have more than 1 loco make sure all of them have gas otherwise the trains till won't move.
P.S. NS is my favorite as well:hehe:

Then i knwo you problem you have to fuel it. It has no gas in it.
In Surveyor look at the properties and you will see fuel....look at the maxium load fill the gas withn that and bang you going down the tracks!

Good luck!

Thanks so much for your kind replies.

Filled them with fuel and away we go.

Made him two passenger consists, one headed by a lone NS and the other a NS and Conrail. Grandson loves rolling stock which he recognizes.

And yes Titanic Lover, that is the SD70 although it has 2518 on the number board.

There is much to learn about Trainz, but with help from folks like you it will be much easier.

Thanks again and regards to all.

Ron

Phil C's locomotives the one you are talking about have random number boards for life like realizum.
