Confused over build numbers

I have two TRS22 installs. The year's gold subscription gift version that I can keep forever which is now at Build 116492. AND my former TRS19 SP4 install which I have patched to Build 116199. Both of them say they are Trainz Railroad Simulator 2022 on the launcher, but should I try to further update my old TRS19 install I'm told that there's not any more updates no matter which update stream I try.
Both Trainz installs are working well so that's not an issue, - it's just that I would like to know if my old TRS19 install really is TRS22 now or has it been given a going over with a bit of lipstick and a new wig to make it look like it's TRS22, but it's not really.

I think it has to do with the TrainzPlus edition of the game. Because your a gold member your TS19 is the plus version which is a special version of TRS22.

Sorry but that's way out.

Used the wrong patch stream you have a TRS22 beta, from before Christmas if I remember, TRS22 (116199) was patched to 116233 in January.

TRS22 (116942) was the Trainz Plus Stream, TRS19 (116678) is the TRSS19 Beta Stream which now shows as TRS19 Platinum if you have Plus.

I've managed to keep TRS19 SP5 separate from TRS22

I have plus and TRS19 SP5 shows as Platinum now and TRS22 as Trainz +

Now I'm really confused.

You're not the only one. I think NV3 must have shares in hard drive manufacturers, you could easily have several terabytes of installed versions plus all the attendant assets. its by far the largest install of any app i have and I'm still on the first version of 2019 and TANE SP3 .

Your original TRS19 got patched to TRS22 via a beta patch 26 NOV 2021. Patch Information:
Patch from 114800 to 115583 (9.4GB) or from 115373 to 115583 (6.6GB). Sorry PC only at this point.
Edit - currently two patches required from 115373, there will be a new direct patch available a little later).

It is also trainzbuild 5.0, making content created in this version incompatible with the current TRS19 builds.

NOTE: This update will create a new TRS22.exe (which means and TRS19.exe shortcuts will no longer work).
When you start TRS22 it will create a new local data folder. To access your old TRS19 data folder, open Trainz Settings > Install tab and navigate to your old folder, then restart Trainz.

Your purchase got the latest TRS22 version. Both TRS19 and TRS22 EA are avaiable from my trainz.

I was careful to make sure that after converting TRS19 to TRS22 that I had it pointing to the correct database. My former TRS19 install is where I keep my Uk routes and the brand new TRS22 install is where i keep my 1920s-1930s US routes. Everything seems to be working fine without any issues.
I still have my old 'Tinware' TS2019 install should I want to create anything for upload to the DLS.

At least large hard drives of good quality aren't too expensive Dan. I still have Trainz going back to TC3 installed on my computer even though I don't run the older versions so often now. Still good for the occasional nostalgic visit though.
My first computer which was an IBM 8088 had a 20Mb hard drive, - we've certainly come a long way since then.

and that was a long way from my first computer - the UK version of the Superboard. Built from a kit (supply your own soldering iron) with a 6502 processor and 4k of RAM.
Audio tape storage so no discs.

and I’m now confused about the versions!

Is there a list of the various patch streams available as well as a guide as to what build numbers are available to each patch stream?
Somehow it seems that I successfully patched with the wrong patch streams in both my update situations and while everything is working fine now I'm left wondering if I'm going to have problems in the future.

Your MyTrainz page has both of the latest downloads of TRS19 SP5 and TRS22 EA. Any future updates will only apply to one version or the other, not both. They are on separate streams.

Trainz Plus Stream will always be the latest version of Trainz which is now TRS22.

TRS19 updates if there are any more now will be on the TRS19 Stream / TRS19 Beta Stream

Plus Accounts get you access to the latest version, TRS22 and upwards.

Gold Plus Accounts get you access to the latest version as well as the "free DLC" in TANE, TRS19 and TRS22.

Now they are, but they weren't before which is how I got caught out when I was updating my TRS19 SP4 install. It's not really an issue anymore for me since I like working in TRS22.

N3V should pay you for clarifying issues and explaining things that they should have explained in the first place Malc.

So would you explain how to go about this. If you saw my other post I think for $70 i should not have to pull my hair out and spend hours on forums for help.
