Conflicting personal KUIDs

I have nine routes that I was working on in TRS2006. That version started acting up on me and I made the decision to move them up to 2010.

I created CDPs (in 2006) of the nine routes and then imported each into 2010. Six of the routes imported just fine, but three of them gave me the error that the routes already existed in 2010 - BUT - the routes in 2010 were completely different routes.

How does one go about changing the KUIDs of the collision routes so that I can import the 2006 CDPs? In 2004, it was easy; but every time I try in 2010, I get told that I cannot commit my route (after altering the config file) because "the KUID number is incorrect". Nothing in the config text file reflects the old KUID number, but, somehow, CMP thinks the old KUID number should be there.

Is this part of the "new" formats involved in the map files?

In addition, I think that perhaps something in the Suggestion Boxcar by me might be in order to the effect that having KUID number synchronization (synchronisation) would be nice to have.

What you can do is instead of changing the config then trying to commit it(where you get the error that the kuid is different) you can copy all the contents of the route to a new folder on your desktop. ( what you see when you right click on the route in CMP and select edit in explorer)

Then you can enter the config, change the kuid to whatever you want.

Then delete the duplicate route from CMP if you want, then import the route with the new kuid into CMP. You can do this for all the effected routes.
