Combing Track?

So I was downloading some track that would look good as about to be abandoned/old track. I downloaded the "36ng track for shays" (<kuid:371339:38001>) and the "VR 3ft Tramway Sleepers"(<kuid:404079:161>) and started putting a loco on it to see which would look good. Then I had a thought. What if one were to use the rails and sleepers from the VR track and put it on the ballast like part of the shay track. Is this something possible to do?

Check the config files and see if there is a kuid for the ballast. If so replace as required.

There is no Kuid for the ballast. I think that I am SOL on this issue.

Try this in CM, find 1 of the tracks, in the right pane r/click and view dependancies. Any ballast there.

Again nothing is stated saying there is a ballast. The ballast for the 36ng shay track is built in. If I knew how to, I could try to see if I could combine the meshes, however I do not know how to.

Well, thanks for the help anyway. If only some one were able to combine them.......
