CMP TROUBLE.

Hello all.

Again I have a problem with Trainz 2006.
Heres the problem, medium length.

Last night I was downloading some Milwaukee road stuff and i had the download helper downloading some. I tried to get remove some of the finished downloads from the download helper and CMP froze.

I closed CMP and tried to restart trainz (clicking on the tab), but after quite a while, the start menu didn't come up. I kept trying, but I still had this problem.
I restarted my computer and brought up CMP again. I tryed installing some CDPs , but CMP froze again. I restarted my computer again and tried installing the CDPs again. CMP froze again. I restarted my computer and tried to commit the content, but CMP froze.

I shut down my computer for the night and this morning, I started CMP and tried commiting the content again, but it froze and trainz won't come up again.

PLEASE HELP ME!!! :'(

Hi Ronayne

Just curuois, but are you able to either backup, save to cdp format, or archive? If you are, do it to all of your custom content. It sounds to me like you might need to re-install Trainz, which will make to CDP work.
If you are gonna reinstall Trainz be sure to back up or archive all your custom content to a place where you can remember it. If you don't it is all out the window.
Plus, if you don't have the orignial files, it makes a heck of a lot of work trying to find everything again. The same thing happended to me, so I had to learn. Hope this works for you and let me know how it goes!

I have waaaay to much downloaded content to back up.
I left my computer on all day, and when i got home, Trainz was working!!!

This is a perfect example that demonstrates how fragile the CMP program in TRS2006 is. Once you give CMP a job to do you can not interrupt it. Don't multitask or try any other thing with your computer, just let it finish. Once interrupted it takes it 4 or 5 times longer than if you would had just let it alone. SP1 helped CMP a lot but CM2 in TS2009 is much more stable.
