I have begun to build the final CityRail route. CityRail4 will bring for the first time my custom content as well as a higher standard for my routes. These higher standards include more scenery, more DLS content, and custom content.
The first city called Louisville, took over 26 hours with a period of 12 straight working hours to build. While it isn't all done, it is getting close.
The entrance to Kanter Yard, which is in Louisville. Kanter Yard is based on the design of the yard and Amtrak facility in Oakland,CA.
Street Running is also a feature based on Oakland. With plenty to make ya hungry, Mickey D's anyone?
CityRail4 will take much of it's design from the railroads in California, but be visualized in a fictional way. Some of the route along the way will be coast line, however, for the first 125 miles, it'll mostly be desert.
A view of Kanter Yard/Facility in it's early stages. Most of the facility is done, but more scenery is going to be added. As for the yard, mainly the container yard essentials.
I'll soon add a wye to Louisville Terminal. Louisville Terminal is 6 tracks surrounded by interstate freeways. Was getting up to 98FPS with three trains in the terminal.
One of the most crazy features of the route are the road signs. They serve a bigger purpose than you would think. The roadsigns with the town's distances are actually useful for the user who is driving the train,as the signs also tell the you how far you are from the next station. Pretty neat huh.
So CityRail4 (also being called CRX), will be a complete route. It will stretch a full 295 miles between Louisville Terminal to Palmwood. With views of the desert, city skyscrapers, and best of all...beaches. Like the three routes before it, CityRail4 will meet my three main criteria: QUALITY CREATIVITY FUN.
I'll soon start adding in the next section of track, once that is done,I'll have more progress pics.
If anyone has any ideas,I'll be happy to hear them.
