chump files

just wondering what a chump file is and do I move it into content manager?
also what is the best way to repair faulty assets. they were fine until the reinstall.
the Gold membership allows the download with no further expense with the exception with the gold renwell?

what a chump file is
The "chump" file is the unexpanded config.txt file in it's raw format. Generally you should not see this, as it should be expanded to normal config.txt whenever you edit an asset, but if you run into it, there is a PEVSoft utility call ChumpXpander that will uncompress it.
 
You can try installing it and the worst it might do is throw an error. If it is a regular folder, and not a .tzarc file, I would say convert it to config.txt using ChumpXpander, then install it, but it might work the way it is. Trainz knows what a chump file is.
 
You shouldn't be opening up the content folders at all. This is why there are tools to manage content in Trainz. Moving or touching any of the contents such as these chump files will corrupt the assets.
