Ok so this is my yard but it would seem that I have run ot of ideas and as for putting in the lights on each road how do you do this

Hi Chris,

Yards usually work ok without signals. Just place a dwarf at each exit to protect trains coming in to the yard and have all your switches(points) defaulting to clear exit signal. I notice all your spline points are white, they need to have a set height. I'll do a screenshot shortly to explain.

This is the Fletchers Bay Yard in the Murchison 2 Route.
Notice all the points on the right side default to straight ahead. At the end of the last line there is a buffer and an ivisible signal, this allows the approaching train to get a green signal. The points will change to the correct line just as the train passes the approach signal in the foreground.

This pic is facing the other way. Notice the dwarf signal on each line, all are red while a train is approaching but when the line is cleared by the incoming train the Dwarf on the outgoing line will clear.

Now the shunt loco can leave the yard. You do not need a signal at the final junction leaving the yard, just one protecting the next junction.
Even if the next junction is a mile away. Once again this works because the default direction of the points is straight ahead.
The next junction on this route IS about a mile away and the points are defaulting against the train leaving, that's why the dwarf is yellow.

Hope this helps,
