Hey all! I'm looking for some "check rails" (or whatever else you may want to call them) for use on crossings. I've noticed that a lot of crossings have check/guard rails inside the gauge and then the road itself is paved right up to and in between the track. There aren't any crossing boards or inserts, per say. Usually this is on sidings or lightly traveled roads crossing mainlines.
I have a temporary stand-in for now - I'm using two 17' check rail sections next to each other, but this creates a non-prototypical "bulge" in the center. Does anyone know if there are a longer set of these out there? Or maybe someone could build them? (Certainly not trying to be a gimme pig - but I imagine something like this would be pretty simple to do).
Here are a few photos. The first 3 are of some crossings on the route I'm starting...you can see near the middle of the roadway where the two check rails meet - and that should continue straight across, per the 4th picture of a prototype crossing. Thanks!
