i am currently running the steam version of ts2012 but am going to buy from auran. how do i get all content from ts2012 steam over to ts2012 auran?if i install version from auran then uninstall steam version, will it "uninstall" some common files that might mess up my new install? thanks

I would think that once you install the official N3V TS12 program, you would eventually uninstall the Steam TS12 program entirely ... but before you do that, you could make CDP's of all your custom routes, and all your payware CPD's, and the 1 or 2 files in the Steam Version that contain all your assets ... and put them on a DVD+RW, or an External Hard Drive ... and after transfering all that stuffz into the official N3V TS12 program, and testing it ... then you could uninstall the Steam version.

Just find the Trainz folder in the Steam apps folder or whatever they call it these days and import the Local and original folders using content manager, You might want to hang on for a week or two though as N3V (Kris) has just posted that the Steam update and other Steam problems should be resolved in two weeks, if it works properly you may be shelling out unnecessarily.

Uninstalling the Steam version won't affect the N3V one, there are no common files everything is located in the Trainz folder.

ok, i finally got TS12 from Auran and i imported the local and original folders from my steam version into my new version, but content manager says i have over 200 items with missing dependencies when with the steam version i had maybe a dozen or less. have i missed something? im telling each item to dl from the dls and most are working but its going to take awhile!
thanks
