I have an AlCO RS1 I found on the download station and I want to change the motor sounds to something I found on Jointed Rails website, how do I do that?

In the CONTENT MANAGER find the RS-1 right click to EDIT>(option 1) edit in content creator plus a new window opens find engine sound and click the button ... (FIRST TO THE RIGHT) another drop window will appear type in the file name on second line or schroll for it...when you find it click it this will change your engine sound file....now upper left corner click edit and refresh a asset tree will appear click on KUIDTABLE and find the original sound kuid and do the same step s to change that kuid to new one.... option 2 is edit in explorer and click on the config file where you ll see notepad enginesound kuid number just retype new kuid number and same down where it says kuid table and YES to save file close... in the CMP close and save yes and in the the content manger click edit and commit.... your enginesound has been changed....

While the method above will work, using Content Creator Plus has the disadvantage that when the asset is openned it will be updated to whatever your build number is. This can result in errors being found due to a more rigorous error checking for later build versions, these you will need to correct so that the asset will show up in game.

It is better to use "Edit in explorer" then edit the config.txt file in a text editor such as Notepad. Finding the engine sound tag you can change the kuid reference to the kuid of the engine sound you want. You will also need to change the same kuid number in the kuid table that is in the config.txt file. After saving the modified config.txt file you will need to commit the asset.
