Change default switch lever?

Hi;
Is there any way to change the default switch lever that is used in TS2010?
I know that I have the option not to automatically place junctions, but it would be nice to have the preferred switch lever installed along with a new junction.

Thanks

^ I never heard of doing it through the "Options" menu. The only way I know to change the default switch lever is changing the kuid in the Region config file.

I'm not sure if I'm reading this right but if you want to change to type of lever, continue route building with the default one, then when done you can change them all at one go, as you can with track type.

That works:)
Funny, I've been using the "replace assets" tool for just about everything else, but never thought of using it for switch levers:o

I never thought of setting a default switch lever. It's a great idea considering I do use the replace assets tool to replace them after I've laid my track in a section.

The thing that does come to mind is changing the lever might have to be done anyway depending upon the type of track. There are sections of mainlines that I use an automatic switch motor. There are yard levers used around engine facilities and yards, and then there are sidings that have the tall switch levers.

Needed to change the modified default would cause a problem if the "this base board only" radio button isn't selected when replacing assets. I'd hate to have to restart over if I haven't saved soon enough before the change, and worse hitting save after changing the levers without thinking about it!

exactly...I have more mainline switches on my route so that's what I changed the default to...I also had to modify the switch config file because the signal that they displayed was opposite to what my prototype showed. Either way you are going to have to do a lot of tweaking.

Perhaps making the default switch lever invisible would be the best option. That way, you don't get all these funky levers showing up all over the place in a large yard or set of slip switches.

I'll have to experiment a bit.

I would love to see invisible switches and cross-road name signs a thing of the past, or at least an option not to have them visible unless chosen. If you figure it out, please post a solution! How can you enjoy the scenery with all that extraneous graphic continually polluting the "air"?

I have my settings tuned to when I make a new turnout, it won't place any lever down. I go back and place the lever(s) of my choice.

Cheers,
Joshua

Ctrl+H ... Now why isn't that mentioned in the basic guidelines? Thanks anyway, that takes care of it unless the mouse moves over top, but a quick solution nonetheless.
