CDP's Please Help.

Hello everyone,

Ok, this is like the 4th time...

I went through the list of like a kabillion locos and rolling stock, flagged them as favourites and saved to a CDP file so I can import them at a later time if required/desired.

When I import the FavLoco.CDP file it asks me to overwrite or skip all. Skip all means I'll won't see the Favs, overwrite give me errors saying missing dependencies, either way, the FavLocos are unflagged and gone.

Short of going through the list yet another time, can anybody tell me what is or, what I'm doing wrong...

Many thanks in advance!...

Zigster.

Saving to a CDP file does not include the dependencies.

If you want to include the dependencies, use a CMPA (Content Manager Archive) instead - the Archiver panel allows you to create and install from archives.

Also, I don't think that the ratings are stored in the CDP files anyway.

CDP Help

Thanks for the quick response!...

Ok, I know it doesn't save the ratings {as in the star rating.}
What I'm trying to do is select all my favourite Locos and save that list so I can put the Favs back in if I crash the game or redo my computer etc... Just so I don't have to go through all the rolling stock and Locos to find them again while I'm in Surveyour and building a route.

There is so much rolling stock and Locos it takes forever to find the ones I like the most.
btw, all the Locos I like are built in. If that even matters...

Thanks again, Zigster.

Actually, it does. Content Manager does not include built-in assets in either CDP files or archive files (it simply refuses to)

Shane is absolutely correct. In order to CDP a built-in you first need to clone the asset at which time CM assigns a new kuid number (yours). You can then save it as a CDP and move it to a favorites folder.

You can only open CDP files by using Content Manager. Any version 2006 and up. Using any other program will result in an error message.

That is what I did !!!!!! I only have TS2006 and TS09 !!!!!

I think the problem was when I went on to the Auran DLS online and downloaded something TS06 that I was really looking for in TS09 !!!!!!

The problem got worse from there:'(

Open CMP, either 06 or 09 find and and delete the faulty CDP's. Then go into CM2 (09) and re-download the item. In other words start over.
