Category-Era issue

I have a strange problem with one of my routes. Everytime I edit the session, save it and exit surveyor the session disappears. When I look for it in CM it is there but shows an error (!), which indicates that Category-Era is empty. It is indeed and I then enter in a valid entry and then commit. The error is gone and it now appears properly as a session for my route. Next time I edit the session however the same thing happens, the category-era information is erased. This doesn't appear to happen on any of my other routes and sessions.

My route is using the latest TS12 build.

Any ideas of what is happening here?

Is the Category-Era present in the actual route? As I assume that's where the session picks it up from initially?

In my case no it's not, time for an edit I think.

How do you add it to the route?

Edit the routes config and add it, if it's not there. That's the route first then commit then add to the session. Then I think the session should retain it when you add it. May be wrong I have a feeling CM is less fussy on the route for things missing, than it is for anything else.

I open up the session again in Surveyor, and if I make an edit and "save" the config file is changed which introduces an error which prevents the session from appearing under the route, until I re-edit the config file again.

And so it goes around and around. Very puzzling.

I had the same problem, but I can't remember how I fixed it! I know it was a downloaded route and I believe the fix had to be done on both the route and session. The route had, I think, the Category-Era tag was empty.

Put a category era tag in the route config (if it's not got one), this is what Clam meant. Then maybe the session tag will stay in.

This solved the problem on this route/session.
