Today I decided that I wanted to expand the east part of my route by a couple baseboards. Where the original single line ended was a portal (the tunnel type).
So leaving everything in place I added two baseboards and raised the terrain to +20 which is what height the original track was running, along with putting ground texture on the two boards. Then I went back to the end of the route to move or delete the portal and extend the track, and found that the portal wasn't there although the two spline points are still there. So it either disappeared or is lost.
I've taken the terrain height back down to 0, put the route into grid mode which should have shown it if it's hidden, and even gone into quick driver mode and did a search on it by name. The search took me to where it should be, but it doesn't show there either.
The two new baseboards were deleted which didn't help. I tried using delete on the splines and that didn't help either. I suppose I could delete the baseboard it lives on, but then I'd have to rebuild it and I'd rather not do that at this point.
