Can't start Trainz after patch/build 61388

Sorry if this have been up before but I can't find anything.

After installing patch 61388 I am unable to start Trainz (TS12 and below).

The start menu opens but when I click Start the Blue Comet shows with moving smoke for a second then the picture freeze and after some seconds Trainz closes.

I have an older installation (TS12 Build 49922) on another disc that I haven’t updated and that version I can play and open without problem.

Same options on both.

Anyone have a clue?

If Trainz is closing unexpectedly, then I would suggest you do a database repair in Content Manager. Be aware that this will take a while as it has a lot of assets to check.

I doesn’t close unexpectedly it don not start but your advice is worth a try.

But I am too stupid to know how to do the database repair .

I know how to open Content Manager but that’s all.

Opening Content Manager (CM) is the first step.
In CM, go to the "File" menu and slightly past the middle of the list you will find the database repair options.

Now I have done the database repair as you described. Both “Quick” and “Extended”.

Unfortunately the problem is still there. The loading screen shows for a while then the program shuts down

Do you have the digital download version? If so, may I suggest you grab the newest installation files? It will install as version 61388 all in one setup, no need to multistep the patching and hotfixes. Be sure you backup, first, the contents in the Userdata\local and Userdata\original to restore your content again.

Yes I have both the digital and Anniversary Box versions of TS 12.

Concerning back up. Is it just to copy the files in, in my case (TS12 is installed beyond TS 2010) C:\Program Files (x86)\Auran\TS2010\UserData local and original maps and then after installation copy them back in the corresponding directory in the new installation?

I assume I also do not have to reinstall TS2010 at all, or?

Sorry for all dumb questions but even if I have had this game for quite a while I am still a novice.

Hi again

Downloaded new installation files and installed but there were still at build 49922

After some patching I am now on Build 58414 but I assume that the latest patch is 61388

However the game starts as expected now

This just as information that the downloadable installations files are not as the latest level if I don’t have done some wrong
