Can't play tutorial

Hi all

I've just bought Trainz Simulator 2012 and when I try to play the tutorial, I'm given this message:

Error - map is missing or damaged
Your selected route is damaged or has missing files

During set up a file with a name like 'ts12.ja' (or similar?) failed to copy.

I've Google'd a bit and can't find anything helpful. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I don't understand the game enough to play without the tutorials.

Welcome to the forums.

I'm afraid you will need to reinstall the game - any missing files/files failing to copy during installation are likely to prevent you playing the game.

If it's a digital download, you may also have to re-download the files as well. If it's a disc version, try copying the contents of the disc to a folder on the desktop before installing it.
