I downloaded an ATSF 3415 Engine & Tender (A&SV) and I am missing: <kuid:291996:100208>. So if can, please, please, please help me find it, it would be grateful.

Edit the config.txt file and check for the missing KUID. If it's a horn sound, choose something else from the gazillion horn sounds available on the DLS and built-in by replacing <kuid:291996:100208> with KUID of one you have installed.

Update the config.txt in the hornsound line and in the KUID table.

Save the text file, and submit the asset.

Your steam locomotive will now work.

Mistype for <kuid:291996:101208>?

Yup that it is. It should be <kuid:291996:100208>! The actual, not mis-typed one still can't be found. The author appears to have posted lots of assets up on Thomas sites if a search is done for his username via ID only on the TKI.

It has definitely nothing to do with Thomas locos. ATSF 3415 Engine & Tender (A&SV) from nictrain's site does require no 100208 dependency, only 101208 bogey ;-)

This may not, but that's where all his user-id pointed to when I queried on TKI.

I would open the locomotive up and see what this asset is. It could be a simple horn sound and those are easily replaced. We only have a quadrillion of them on the DLS and everywhere else around on the internet. It may not be the correct horn, then again the missing horn is probably not the correct one either. Other components, as you know, are difficult to replace, but that one is easily done. Engine specs can too, but that may need tweaking.

I have done repairs like this for years and when an asset is updated on the DLS, the proper components are put in, but in the meantime I'm able use the asset until that time comes.
