I tend to use the "Windows" key mostly. Very handy when grabbing screen-shots with the "Print Screen/SysRq" key.
I take a screen-shot in Surveyor, hit the 'windows' key,
have IrfanView set up on the quickstart bar (at the bottom of the desktop screen),
once IrfanView fires up, I go "Control V" to paste the screen-grab into IrfanView,
where I then save & name it, to wherever I want.
Why IrfanView?. It does everything (& more) that I want, & uses very little processing resources.
I could use a program-switching utility like "TaskSwitchXP", but find for me
it's just as easy to simply use the "Print Screen" & "windows" keys.
There's also other utility programs that let you take screengrabs & batch-save them to a folder.
But I like to process them as I go, rather than later.
