Hi Jennifer,

I'd love to see these things made and I really wish I had the time and ability to do it...however, those coaches you are seeing in the first pic aren't CN lightweights: they're Hawker Siddelely (sp?) cars which were first used by GO Transit and then sold to ONR after GO went with the Bilevel coaches. :)

I'd love to see the Hawker Siddeley's in both the GO and ONR scheme, but we can only dream for now...

Good luck!

I know the Ontario Northland used the Old Go Commutor Coaches. I was trying to say that the OBRY railroad Coaches are the old Cn Lightweight Coaches. And Ontario Northland did buy some old via and cn lightweight coaches they are in use to day. They have the new color scheme on it.

Just like what they had on the M.S Chi Cheemaun (Ferry that crosses Tobemory To South bayMouth, Manitoulin Island, Ontario.

Chi Cheemaun was owned by Ontario Northland for a long time but a new company bought it over then OSTC (Owen Sound Transportation Company).

Anyway back on topic.
It would be nice to see some more canadian trains in trs 2006.

Sorry for the confusion if i caused any

To reskin I'd need a engine / coach the right size and shape, permission from the creator to reskin, not normally a problem, and better side on photos. If you can do the research the reskinning is normally simple.

Let's see.

First the ONR passenger locomotives look to be just plain F7 A and B units which come with PaintShed. Should be pretty easy to reskin. Just create an undecorated unit (don't paint it in PaintShed, just save it as undec) then use PaintShop or some other paint program to do the reskin. There should be a tutorial laying around somewhere that tells you how to do this.

Second, the OBRY loco is a high hood GP9 with dynamic brake blister. My CNR GP9 (kuid:87145:772) is a reskin of Magicland's PRR GP9 (kuid:58843:772). Should be no problem getting permission from Magicland to create your own reskin.

As for the heavyweight CPR coach, you might want to seach the DLS. I think Magicland has a couple on there that you could reskin.

Tom.

The paintshed ones I'd prefer not to use, TC has some issues, so it sounds like all we need is some decent photos.

Thanks John

Hey Jennifer,

I do believe that someone made a F7 reskin of the ONR engine. Take a look under this kuid number 63971:110126 with a similar colour scheme. I don't know if you are using 06, but it does work in 04 (and you could try to import it for 06 if you wanted).

I didn't know the OBRY had passenger coaches. :)

Hi jennifer:

I'd like to make the bridge in the pic showing the lightweight coachs. Do you have a few more pics of it and some basic dimensions (over all length, height, number of sections, etc)?

Ben

Hey Guys

@bendorsey I will see what I can come up with.

@ gisa yes OBRY runs a tour train up and down from Orangeville to Snelgrove. 35mile run.

I am having problems with CMP again it doesn't show me Download station and does not load stuff on.

I tried opening Trs06 paint and comes up with an error saying that No language was specified. Use -lang Us

I am looking for pictures now.

That is the Ontario Northland Coach.

Those are all i find right now

If you are still interested I could reskin the passenger car. I tried with that picture but it doesn't look right. If you know the train company name, then do a search and see what comes up or note it down here, and I'll look into it!

Well, up to you - let me know!:)

Those are great. did anyone make that route?

Like From Orangeville to brampton then to Streetsville.

That would be a very interesting route to go on alot of different trains go on them.

I breifly thought of it after that "Snow Train" trip, but never started

As you can see, there was not much snow that day.

But I have done the Halton County Radial Railway (41078:1000808), check it out if you wish :)

I been on that when i was younger I went on it a few times. Fun!!!. You did a good job on the line. Maybe one day someone will make it Orangeville line to streetsville.

Jen: don't know if you'd be interested, but I did some Paint Shed re-skins of Ontario Northland boxcars, freight locos and a tank car a while back. I got the photos from the Ontario Northland web site. Presuming I can find them, I could send them if you like.

What still isn't being worked on? I may be able to squeeze some time in to skin a coach or loco or something.
