hi, can someone give me step by step instructions on how to set up triggers ... as i'm a little confused :'( ... i have tried to do so myself but keep getting hung up .... as i need to set up about 10 triggers in one area ... ty
Let’s take a simple example. An island platform with a track either side. You have a train A waiting on one track and you want it to depart after another train B has called at the station on the other track. Place a trigger on the track just ahead of where train B will stop in the station. Give the trigger a name. In the driver commands for train A add a Wait for Trigger command, add the name of the trigger and whether any train or a specific train will set off the trigger. Then add other driver commands for train A in the usual way like Drive To or Navigate To. When train B leaves the station and passes over the trigger it will release train A to depart as well. Hope that helps. Roger.
thanks guys/gals ... all help is good ... especially for a beginner in that area of surveyor ... lol ... maybe after a little bit of time i will be able to give this sort of help to new comers to the world of auran trainz ... lol
Indeed, it would seem that robogo neglected to make use of the 'create hypertext link' function available in the forum when writing his response. You have two 'choices', either you can manually write the URL he has posted into the Address Bar of your preffered browser; or you can cut and paste the text inside the quotation marks into that same place and then click the appropriate button to have your browser 'take' you there...
...please note that if you decide to enter the address manually, the "0" character before the word "catch" is the number "0" (zero) and NOT the letter "O"...
...I would then recommend that you 'add' this site to your 'favourites'...
thank you for explaining how triggers work in a plain and simple way so even a complete novice like me can understand . still building my route trainz have taken over my life its so addictive
