I lost an entire days work yesterday. I tested the save function and it stoped working. The message is surveyor saved it but was unable to commit it and to go to CMP and commit it there but does not show in CMP. What should I do? I'm desperate. Do I need to reinstall Trainz? Please help. Thanks Robert Graves.

Shane, my system:

I just installed windows 7 64 bit. I was told it was compatable.
I have:
a amd phenom 9500 quad core
8 gigs memory
geforce gtx 470 1280mb
this has been working well until saterday. I installed ms7 friday. Could that be the problem? I need help on this one. I also have been unable to download
from the DLS today. Might be connected? Thanks robert graves

System specs check out OK - only thing you have to make sure is that you run Trainz as admin.

What version (and build number) is your version of Trainz?

Shane

OK, I will answer each question individually.

To run a program as administrator:

1.Right-click the shortcut for the program you wish to run as administrator.
2.Click Properties.
3.Click Compatibility (this will be a tab at the top of the Properties box)
4.Click in the box labelled 'run this program as an administrator' then click OK. You may have to click Continue or Yes (or both) to apply the change.

The build number will be at the bottom-right of the Launcher screen if it is TS2009 or TS2010, or at the bottom-right of the main menu if it's an earlier version.

shane

my build is 40040. I made a small change to a layout and it's still there. That
looks like that fixed it. Thank you very much!:D Robert

That's good - just to let you know, there are 2 newer builds available (41844 and 44653), so if you get any other bugs, it may be worth patching to one of these (at the moment, 41844 (SP3) is more stable than 44653 (SP4))

Patch Download Links

If you do decide to patch it, here are the appropriate download links (I would recommend backing up your route if you decide to install SP4):

SP3: http://download.ts2009.com/Beta/40040_to_41844.exe
SP4: (I advise caution if installing this one) - http://download.ts2009.com/patch/41844_to_44653.exe
