Can I erase textures on a route?

Instead of 'painting' over a texture to cover it up, I want to erase it completely. Is there an option to do this??? Of course, I've already saved the route so I can't use the UNDO option anymore.:o

Ummm, maybe I guess that you use grid textures will be fine no have any problem so it hope help:)

Isn't that some sort of a texture, too??? It would be leaving a 'grid texture' there instead. Wouldn't it?

Umm mean you want erase on color texture try get off like just grid blank? And same what happen with me so I was mistake then I just use grid texture put on ground just blank so that back nas normal look very good great so you can and I say it YES!

Edit: YES

Yes but the baseboards initially start with a grid texture. Just painting over doesn't erase all the textures. They just get pushed under a bit. Each vertex can have 5 textures associated with it with different weights, rotations and scales. To really erase them you have to edit the gnd file. Hence a 3rd party utility was put together. I think it's called erazor. Do a forum search you might turn something up.

Good info Bob ...

narrowgauge made a Texture Erazor Mesh but has no instructions on how to use it. The description says it is suppose to work with Erazor. I'm now a little confused.
I also found momentum's grid texture that dnutter was talking about.

A Google search turned up nothing, btw.

All you do is apply the Erazor texture over the areas you want to delete and then run Erazor. Every ground texture covered by the texture will be deleted leaving you with the original grid.

The darker Helper Mesh brown texture does not do this but is very effective when you are modifying contours. Apply at MINIMUM scale pointing North and you can see your contours develop. The red squares always land on the vertex points so if you have covered the original grid, you can over-paint with the helper mesh and see where the vertex points are.

There are replacement grid textures available but these do not necessarily line up with the vertex points and are not much use.

Oh no, you did delete on your route so it gone right now? But why not you use color like grass or sand let cover on mistake textures on ground something make look good vert great. So it well so it too late that you already delete on your own route:(

That isn't the point Dnutter, If you overlap textures like that it packs a punch on you FPS.

But removing the textures is different.
