Camera Focus

He Who Playz-With-Trainz
My new layout (2006 sans SP1) is coming along swimmingly. However, I am looking for driver commands that will switch the camera view to another train when the driver of one has completed his schedule. Mizi has something called SetFocus but this will not download - all I get is what seems to be the actual scripts on the screen instead of of the usual "Play/Save" dialog box. Any ideas, please?

You could add the rule Set Camera Now, kuid2:117746:999:1 by sforget, which allows you to specify where to focus the camera, on a junction, train, or vehicle, but I have trouble setting the yaw to negative.

It may be that you could use the follwing rule by 'MIZI' which seems equivalent to the one by Sforget

The rule is 'Focus Camera' KUID2:122381:10014:1 and I downloaded it without a problem. The config.txt is more complex than usual which may have misled you as it appears to be full of script.

It works very well. There seems to be some bugs using 'focus on a map object', but focusing on a train works all the time. If you have difficulty in downloading it, email me and I will send a copy. His license
license - "Freeware/Open-Source"
appears to allow that.

There is another that is built in to 2006 called 'Set Camera' kuid:-18:1253, not quite as versatile, it will only allow focusing on a loco or junction. CMP will not show this up if you look for 'category-Rules', it will only appear if you search 'Builtin-Rules'

Cheers
