Cab Brightness Issue

Hello, I just picked up this great sim and have a question regarding the cab brightness. I find it is very bright where it can be hard to even read the gauges. It seems to be most prominent on shiny surfaces such as gauges and signs. I have attached a screenshot showing the problem. It only seems to affect the diesel train cabs. I adjusted the Gamma level, but it doesn't seem to change the cab brightness. My Specs:

ATI 5870 Mobility Radeon with latest drivers
Windows 7 Home Edition
Asus G73 Laptop

Some of the later cabs are brighter than others because they changed something in the lighting for TS12 which affected some type of mesh more than others. Or something, I forget what it was. Anyway, three options,
1. Turn down the gamma in the options, display settings, see if that makes the cab less blinding without making everything else too dark.
2. Clone and reskin the cab for darker textures.
3. Steal one of my cabviews, search for username sniper297, category interiors. Quick sampling;

the best way to fix them is to up the cab build numbers to TS12 builds. this will reset the lighting. any lower build numbers will have overblown brightness. the game brightens the cab based on this, so it is the best way to fix it.

Or issue sunglasses. :cool: I started to download all your cab updates to check it out, but canceled when I got a look at the megabytes. I need to renew my FCT, but I'm holding off on that until the content mangler update issue gets sorted out. Following the trails of breadcrumbs all over my system trying to find out where it keeps this secret cache, haven't had any luck getting it to actually look at the download station yet. What we really need is a built in Clear Cache button.

well to start, it isnt my cab in the image, and my cabs that update TS12 are also on my site, which doesnt require a FCT to download. they are the same assets on the DLS. the cache is in the userdata folder.

:wave:

That ain't working here, \userdata\cache folder, select all delete all, delete assets.tdx, delete all temp and cookies from the internet folders, still ignores the DLS and shows the same lists it showed before. Installing and patching a new fresh copy of TS2010 today, after patching and adding the login info I clicked on My Content - it correctly displays Author #522774, then Please wait applying filter. 15 minutes gone by and still waiting, so apparently it IS looking at the DLS, but do I have THAT many uploads?
