Today they're having the last run for these old Sliverliners, as the Silverliner V begins to slowly devour the old fleet :(. I'm attending the trip today; The train leaves Suburban Station around 10:00 AM, the rest is explained in the PDF & webpage. If anyone else here is coming, please let me know, we can meet up!

Awww man I missed it. I loved these cars for a minute and now they are going :'(. I use to ride these trains from Wayne Junction to Suburban to get to my school and now I not going to be able to ride them anymore.

How old are you? Just asking because if we did meet up I just didnt wanted to hang out with some older than me. I'm 14yrs old and I'm a female. I'm probably the only female that likes trainz now adays hehe.

Our MBTA doesn't do that when they introduce new equipment. We find new stuff in replacing the old with little or no fanfare. The only time they did anything like that was when the antique PCC Trolleys were retired. Today they still have some left running in Mattapan.

Then of course, we don't have much to write home about either with Horizon passenger cars pulled by F40PHs isn't exactly anything special.

I'm 19 years old. The trip was fantastic! We went to Chestnut Hill West, Fox Chase, Norristown, and Cynwyd. I have a lot of pictures and video:

That's a shame that these were retired. I got the chance to ride on them when I went to Philadelphia 30th Street Station for National Train Day in 2010. I also went inside the then brand-new Silverliner V display train they had there. After, I also railfanned several SEPTA stations on the trip and got a lot of video of the IIs, IIIs, and IVs in action. 1963, wow, I didn't know they were that old. Some of them still said "Pennsylvania" on the side when I saw them.
