Buying DVD Boxed Set includes Download too?

Hello Community,

I want to buy Trainz2009 WBE and use it very urgent (because it sounds so fantastic!!). This is of course possible by ordering Digital Download. But for reason of security I even want the DVD Boxed Set too (Hardware crash, loss of files...).

Now my question:
When I order the DVD Boxed Set can I download the Software in the same step and do I have the right for it? Otherwise I have to wait some weeks (living in Austria - not Australia!) until I get the CD but I want to use Trainz much earlier.

Thank you for some answers
and sorry for my poor English

If you buy the DVD you cannot download the game as well.

It sounds as though you would be best to buy the download version and burn it to DVD once you have it.

(If you do order the DVD version it will be sent to you from the UK, not Australia, so should only take a few days to arrive hopefully)

Wow Mike, thanks for this fast response.

You are right. I can burn my CD after downloading the game. But the quality is not so good as from a commercially pressed CD (lifetime, sensitiveness).

Otherwise I need the game soon. So I decided to buy the 'Download Version' because I'm too curious after looking the screenshots and the highlights of this new version :udrool:.

Thank you and have a nice sunday!

sorry to correct you mike,

sorry 2 correct you man,

Trainzfan5,

For someone with just two posts you seem pretty sure of yourself. Just so you know, Mike is the guy in England that would ship the DVD so I would guess that he knows what he is talking about.

Well, obviously it depends on the postal services of the countries in question, and there is scope for delays in many places. I try to get the orders in the post next day and as they are posted within Europe there should be no customs hold-ups. The last one I sent for which the person told me it had arrived took 3 days to get to Germany.

You don't say where you are located Trainzfan5, perhaps your's came from Australia and took longer, or maybe got delayed en-route.

I ordered my copy on 20th january and it arrived today 6 days later in Sweden, that includes the holiday.

So good job Mike!

Now I just need to get back to this Trainz thing, so much catching up to do... ;)

Thanks Deskgrunt, you comment is appreciated.

Sweden is one of the few places I need to do a customs declaration for, so they could slow it down. It seems they didn't for your's though. :)

Mike.
