I can't speak for 2016 but I have 2012 and T-ANE running happily side by side on my second desktop under Windows 10 and previously had 2010 and 2012 on a laptop under Windows 7 unfortunately the laptop graphics could not accommodate T-ANE. On the laptop everything was on the same drive but separate installation folders, on my desktop Windows is on the C: drive, 2012 on the D: and T-ANE on the E: Nothing to do with Trainz, more to do with not wanting a Windows update to kill the computer and having to overwrite the C: drive wiping out Trainz if they were all on the same drive, in the process to recover from it.
