Not all build-in items are on the DLS. A lot are, but not all of them. I havent found any logiq yet why some are and some dont, except for ofcourse updated build-in items.

All legacy content in TS2010 (except the actual routes that were added in TS2010) was added to the Download Station, since TS12 does not include these assets. If they are included in TS12, then they will not be on the DLS.

We will not be removing this content from the DLS, since this will break compatibility of a lot of content (including content built for TS2009 or TS2010, or TS12 for that matter), with no real gain. If they have TS2010, then it'll simply refuse to download the asset, since they already have it (in which case, your suggestion is simply telling them to look at one of the multitude of assets that were built-in in TS2010, rather than download an asset).

Patchy, I am under the impression this discussion is in reference to the UltraScenery which was drastically improved regarding performance issues due to population on the N&W TS12 Route I had no control of.
These updates were required and I felt it was best to just place them on the DLS for Distribution to TS12 Owners.

If I am correct on this subject matter, please have the fellow trainz member contact me directly. I can resolve this issue for him/her.

My activity on this forum is very limited regarding responding minus 2 posts I a have created and will be communicating in until my Blog is completed.

There is a problem with legacy content. The best/most popular routes were still built for 2004/2006/UTC/TC, and have dependencies based on those versions (including built-ins).

You can't export the assets for the built-ins (even if you have the relevant version), because the meshes aren't available to save in Edit mode. This is making a lot of good content unusable in newer 'supported' versions of Trainz, which could still run it.
Several of the good prolific authors are also no longer active, so unlikely to produce up-to-date versions, and an un-updated version won't be accepted for DLS uploading anyhow.
