Yea its a cool project, they are surprisingly far along, all things considered. the main big item they are missing right now is the frame, witch needed to be reworked because there really isn't a place in the US to cast something that big anymore.

While I personally don't like the looks on this loco(Its the big guppy mouth on the pilot), still very cool to get one in metal and moving again, and a good second lesson on building "new" steam locomotives for preservation.

It would be great if they could 3D print it, but I don't know if they have any compounds that would set up strong enough at this point. Probably no getting away from good ol' steel. Thanks for the link!
