Brennerbahn - La Ferrovia del Brennero V3.0.2. available

Bon jour Philippe,
I started already with replacements but it is really hard since I can hardly find DSL rolling stock to replace. I could only replace with German stock. Any suggestions?

Hi TestSieger,

Here is the list of KUIDs I posted in the conversation #20, listed in the same order, but with replacements :

The one in "???????" is one I couldn't find . In fact, I don't know how looks this vehicule "messwagen" . Is it a VT98 ? a freight wagon with a "mess" livery ? A Bcm with a "mess" livery ?

For the nationality of the items, I provided them *when possible* with the ÖBB one, but I think it's not shocking to see some DB ones (after all Germany and Austria are neighbours of each others, and speak the same language, especially for freight wagons which are regularly transiting through whole Europe ...

Cheers,

Philippe

Hello Philippe,

thanks for your report, I have changed the rolling stock you have listed to others from DLS
in uptate 3.0.5 which can be found on my channel:

Greetings

Hi TestSieger,

Alleluia :) 😆 !!! Finally, a map and a session without missing deps ! Excellent !

Cheers,

Thank you ! I could travel in all the numerous consists (trains, trams, and even busses and a plane !!), which are busy and bring much animation in this nice valley surrounded by these realistic high mountains  (y) !

Cheers,

Thx for your advise, unfortunately the change of consist did break the hump sorting routine in the session of the last pack. An updated session is on my server as cdp.

Hi Testsieger,

Yes, I saw your "humpfix" session in your MediaFire pack . This is the one I unstalled as it had the most recent date .
When trying the session, and visiting ALL the trains, trams and buses, I effectively encountered a freight train busy on a hump, letting its wagons rolling down the hump towards a track on the yard . I was interested, as I would have never thought it was possible in a session to liberate the brakes on some wagons, uncouple them and let them roll gently downwards the tracks  o_O (y) : well done !!!

Cheers,

Philippe

Hi Testsieger,

I couldn't resist watching entirely your consist doing its shunting .
We often criticize TrainZ, but I'm BAFFLED about what I've seen and how much TrainZ can be powerfull  !!!
Seeing the beautiful ballet of dozens of wagons running, simultaneausly, slowly and surely after being liberated on the different tracks of the shunting yard, and coupling softly with their similar neighbours, arranged by tracks of similar wagons, well ... i've never saw it !! I don't know how it manages to do it, if it's a TrainZ command/rule/script or if you managed to program it in the session, but ... hats off (y) ! It's simply beautiful and perfect 🧞‍♂️☀️!!!

I just saw that there is something to change in the session in order to let the shunting locomotive finish its duty on the humpyard :
The last command tells : "couple to OBB EAOS (int) 29" but this wagon doesn't exist anymore, and the locomotive is therefore stuck .
I changed it with "couple to OBB Eaos (Auran)-Weathered 6" (as this was the last un-sorted train), and ... voilà ! ... the loco could gently finish its duty  .
One little criticism about this nice ballet : if all the wagons are sorted by similar colour and model on the same track, there is an exception : the orange "DB Cargo Rils" are mixed on the same track with blue "Vagon OBB Shimnns" . There are some more free tracks to welcome these wagons seperately ;) 😁 !!

Thank you fot this new refreshing experience ! I'm going now to study it in edit-mode, in order to discover how this shunting process is programed ... 🧩 ⚙️ 🩺 🔐 ...

Cheers,

Philippe

I did notice the same problem and fixed it in the last update V3.0.6. with focus on

Jenbach - Achenseebahn - Zillertalbahn

The two unsorted colors happen because I was too lazy to give them another tag in the input table.
The sorting tracks are marked with numbers to make sorting easier.
The real trick is the sinkhole in the middle of the track field.

Great update - just missing one little kuid: <kuid:483653:1202>
<kuid:483653:1202> FS CARRO F SOCCORSO Va 40 83 951 0 662-3 con garitta
is from author esagamma718.
I guess it's coming from Trainzitalia.

A text file of non-dls assets can be found on my server.

Hi guys,

No, it's coming from mondosimulatoferrovie / download / Treni cantiere / the fifth image descending on the page ;) ...

Well,

I went in edit mode : Ouch ! There are a bazillion of speed retarders, trackmarks and labels preconiously positioned on each track, after each junction, etc  !!!

It has surely take a lot of attention to install all these trackmarks on the shunting yard, trying them, tuning them, etc ...

In fact it's like a Classic musical orchestra : each member has a precise duty, and the result is a beautiful symphony 🤗 ! And, Testsieger, you're the Karajan of this spectacle 😊 !

I praised TrainZ about its capabilities, but it's also thanks to some talented creators : I've made some investigations about the "speed retarders" and "trigger multi function" (used in this shunting yard, I've never used or knew about) to discover that 4 generation of creators (LLJ, boat, trev999 and Christopher924) have developped some powerfull items rich in tweaking possibilities (about which I don't really understand a lot !) Thanks to them !

To conclude, I've learned some extraordinary possibilities offered by TrainZ and their talented creators and users, ..., but I will not use them :) : I prefer watching them 😁 !

Thank you everybody !

Hi Testsieger,

Thanks a lot for illustrating beautifully what I related about your shunting yard some posts ago ... Karajan delivers his hidden secrets !
Your sceenshot :
18698-ablaufberg-retarderkonfiguration

is self- explanatory . To go on with musical symphony analogy, this mess of track objects is like the cords and hamers of a well-accorded piano : a nightmare to tune, but the result is terribly beautiful 🏆 🎹 !
You're a master, and I learned something I was totally unaware about the possibilties of TrainZ, even after 25 years of practice !

Cheers,

Philippe

And just like a concert grand, there are nearly 100,000 parts in the action to make it work.

Well Barney ...

I've looked for your plane : relating to the content manager, it should be the "kuid:524343:6161> DE- german Me262", but I didn't managed to find it, nor near the airport of Innsbruck, neither anywhere else . I deleted every warehouse or big industrial building I could, but ... didn't discoverd yout hidden plane ;) ...
Anyway, it offerd me a way of visiting all the valleys of your map : ther are numerous cities and industries ...

Cheers,

I can give you a historical hint:

Ja !!!! Gefunden !!!!!!

Well Barney, you've made some enormous and glary beauties as your shunting yard ... but there are also totally hidden gems :

Near the town of Schwaz, on your map, there is an entrance of on old Silver mine, with a working functional minetrain :
Entrance-of-the-Silver-mine.jpg

We're 500 meters high upon the valley and the mountain in front of us rises up to 1600 m ...

Well ... let's imbark on this train :
Lets-imbark-on-the-little-train-....jpg

We're now deep in the mountain, climbing in a dark tunnel with an incline of 60/°° ...
Climbing-in-dark-tunnel-of-the-silver-mine.jpg

We're now arriving at an exchange station, where we meet a little service consist traveling in the opposite direction :
Exchange-station-of-the-silver-mine.jpg

My train should normally drive straight on, but, I prefer doing some exploration on the right divergent track ...

... and here we go climbing some more, and, eventually crossing an incline spillway :
Riding-through-an-incline-spillway-of-the-Silver-mine.jpg

We are now approaching the end of our travel :
Arrivng-in-an-undreground-cathedral-of-the-Silver-mine.jpg

Here is an undergroud cathedral ... with the Messerschmitt right in the corner !

We are allready 1000 meters under the ground :
A-relic-of-the-WW2-is-hidden-in-the-Silver-mine%27s-cathedral.jpg

How was this plane carrried in this place : I wouldn't elaboarate on this 😁 !! Notice the wagons lift on the right ...

It was then time to ride down the ramp : without any traction, the little locomotive speed up to 60 km/h : luckily, the brakes were powerfull enough !
After-a-dizzying-descent%2C-we-find-ourselves-back-in-the-light-and-the-fresh-air-!.jpg

Aaah ! Let's enjoy some light and fresh air ! Notice on the right the pump hall with an animated steam machine !

Barney, after Karajan, we have an historic speleologist !
You should share this with Shortline2, which is a great fan of mining railways in TrainZ since more than 20 years !!!

Thank you Barney, you've made my day a second time ! Your BrennerBahn map is a real jewel :) ...

Philippe

P.S. : you provided a link to the Deckname Stichling Schwaz website . It mentions a page which doesn't exist anymore ... but which can be found on WayBack : https://web.archive.org/web/2008092...rbergwerk.at/stichling-messerschmitt-147.aspx .
