Boiler Explosion? Or Some Bizarre Magic Trick

It looks like there's something wrong with the attachment points. How to fix something like this is beyond me.

Sorry I can't help on this.

It wouldn't be att points as Pete would of made the whole loco as one mesh, might be a texture issue, something making the boiler barrel invisible, I've had this in TS12 for years and no problems.

Cheers.

Gothmanghost, I'm with Azervich in suspecting an Alpha issue, more information would be useful here.

Your banner shows that you have 2009, is this the version of Trainz you are trying to use the asset in? Have you tried to view the asset in PEV's AssetX viewer? What video card are you using? Are all your videocard drivers the latest release? Is there a subsequent version to the asset?

My best guess (and it is only a guess) is that the asset's creator used the alpha channel on the boiler to control something else, and your machine is, for what ever reason, interpreting the alpha channel as transparency.

I'm using TRS2006 and have had this train working properly on another computer.

There is another train by ad602000, NSWGR D53 class Loco <kuid2:63971:69037:2> which works fine, and they look similar and may (have to check) use the same dependencies.

I haven't altered this loco at all. It's just a straight download and install.

I'm going to try removing the train and all it's dependencies, then downloading them again to see if that makes any difference.

With TRS2006, the loco, and all of it's dependencies, config files(s) trainzbuild numerals, must all be backdated to be your TRS2006 trainzbuild, or a lesser numeral ... then delete assets.bku in the Cache folder, and then assets.tdx in the TRS2006 folder ... then close trainz ... and reopen the CM and let the TAD rebuild for @ 20 min or longer

Okay so how do I go about doing all that?

And I think it might've rebuilt them several times already.

Sometimes when I open the game it will load then crash, then when I load it up again it's okay. And sometimes when I click to exit the game a crash window will come up.

Usually, starting the game again after this goes smoothly, but sometimes when I click on Start on the menu the light will go green and it will take ages to go to the game. I think it might be doing rebuilding here, as if I let it be and do it's thing, it will go into the game.
