Bogey/Truck Height, and Other Wheel Related Questions

I still haven't figured out how to adjust the height of the trucks when I replace the default ones. I have had great success with rolling stock, I pretty much use RRmod's ASF freight trucks. I tried to replace the trucks on the Amtrak F40PH with some beautiful Blomberg animated trucks which I believe are from Jointed Rail, and they are sitting too low. Is there a fix? Also, I don't know if those are prototypical for that loco, but the loco had the same trucks that are on most of the F-units I have seen for Trainz.

My other question is concerning my favorite loco, the RS3. I asked this a while back but got no reply. Are there any updated trucks for the RS3? No offense to the creators of the current ones, I have much respect. I can't create anything good yet. The current ones have no wheel flanges and you can see the axle which not connected to anything. I was also wondering if there are any updated RS3's. My other problem with them is that they distort when viewed from certain angles as some older content does. This does not seem to happen with newer content.

Replacing trucks on locos is more or less trial and error, because the basic height is fixed by the original attachment point in the mesh made by the loco's creator. Sorry you can't adjust that. I don't think there are newer versions of RS3's available, not freeware anyway. If the locos seem to be distorting this may be due trains poly count being set too low. Can't say I've ever seen that effect, but if you're using TRS2009 anything's possible! there may be some newer trucks suitable for RS3's at trainzproroutes
