-So, the other day I went out rail fanning north east Denver and I've never really been out past east Brighton, off the 76 highway. What I found was pretty cool... awesome displays of power, high speeds, heavy coal drags, etc. Watching Dermmy's Thread also got to me. I need a break from the desert of Cajon so I took it upon myself to start a greener route, hence the name of this thread, also gives me a place to run the BNSF 70macs and why I made my Bethgon Coal Porter.
-The route will eventually take you from Denver to Sterling Colorado. This will be based off the real deal but will be more freelanced, not exact to its real life predecessor. This gives me more freedom and a faster pace of work. Speaking of work, it will most likely only be worked on when I get dehydrated in the Cajon desert! Just about everything runs on this route, coal, manifests, coal, grain, coal, slamtrash, coal, intermodal, oh and coal, etc... I think I forgot to mention COAL! The route is rated at 20-30 trains a day in which is not all that great compared to Cajon's 150 trains a day (2008 --->).
-Anyway, so far I think its looking okay. I don't really plan on putting in a lot of detail nor do I plan on making anything custom for it as its just a side project for now. If its even liked, I wouldn't be waiting on it or looking forward to it anytime soon. Sorry! With out further a due, here are some screenies of what I have so far:
-These shots are following hwy 2...
-Grain train heading north out of Irondale, CO:
-Coal train heading south towards Irondale:
-104th crossing:
-Thanks for looking!
