Edit. found the answer to my own question.

BNSF is experimenting with converting ex-Santa Fe GP60Bs to cab locomotives. The first conversion, #347, now GP60 170, sits at Mid America Car in Kansas City to be painted, sporting a cab from an SD40-2. Cab conversion work was done at MEI in St. Louis

Cool,I think GP60 are awesome locomotive's. It's a shame they didn't make it a GP60M but I guess they need more road-switchers.

Just noticed that the SD-40 cab doesnt have patches where the class lights used to be. That means it was a refurb cab before they gave it to BNSF, right?

GP60M's weight is only spread to 4 axles. It's heavy for the rails.
Same goes for B40-8W?

Is that how they sort things now? "For BN" :hehe: It's funny because a lot of their old stuff has just slapped on patch work or spray paint before sent to another company. I'm only having fun. Don't take anything about UP to heart if you love UP.

It's like an EJ&E SD38 being send to the CN shops for patching or painting, and having a tag on it that said "for the Canadians". :hehe:
