Blue Comet question

Hello everybody!

I bought the Blue Comet DLC back in November, and have been enjoying it very much. But the main reason i bought it was to re-skin it. However, when i click 'Open For Edit' to get the map file for re-skining, it says that i am not authorized to edit it. Same thing, if i try to open config, commit, anything. This is very annoying. I am posting this hoping that there is a fix. I am not saying that i want my money back or anything, i'm just saying that i would like to fix this problem ASAP.

Thank you,
judah

All DLC (ie bought content from N3V) is not editable. This the new stupid stance they have taken. Your purchase isn't broken, and they aren't going to fix it.

ok. i was hoping there was a fix. I guess i'll just reskin landlvr1 or cloakedghost275's cars for now (personal use only). thank you.

You should gather as many examples as you can find from N3V websites that advertise and promote the fact that Trainz content is editable and user-modifiable. Put it together into a single document, send it to N3V and ask for details of where you were advised, prior to purchase, that the product you paid for did not match this standard. Tell them to refund your money or you will take the matter to the ACCC.

Be careful with that one. You would have to prove that it's not a case of 'when published' as well, as things can change after the original information is published and unless specified otherwise, it does not necessarily have to be compatible with newer systems.

This is probably one of the better things they have done, it's tough to watch your creations that you worked countless hours on get trashed during the "reskin" process. Hopefully this will help others to actually create their own content!

Only applies to about 0,001% of the available assets though, so not particularly relevant to most content creators.
