I have a number of engines and cars whos bodies have turned black, no color just shape. They were normal at an earlier time. What can be done to restore them short of downloading. rrbobby

have you changed any settings....

You don’t say which version you are using – I see you have several listed on your header.

That happened to me, just once (04). The problem seemed to be a one off glitch in my system.

I cannot remember whether I simply closed and re-opened Trainz, or had to reboot my PC, but one or the other was the solution.

I’ve never seen the problem since.

Did you change the OpenGL/Direct X setting?

Also are your video drivers up to date?

Nvidia card? New drivers?

The better questions are:

1. Are you using a Nvidia card?
2. Did you update your drivers just before you had this problem?

If so, search the Forums for "hardware compression".
