Birmingham Cross City South Line.....

I started a new route this evening that spans across Birmingham, in the West Midlands. This is phase I of the project, the southern line from Redditch to Birmingham New Street.

Redditch(Looking Southward):

I removed the screenshot that was originally here, as there was a piece of reskinned content not yet authorized to advertise. I'm only granting the author's wish.

Redditch(Looking Northward):

Thank you for understanding

Alvechurch Station

I'm now up to Alvechurch... the next station is Barnt Green

Please bear in mind that this is a prototypical route and all stations and landmarks are real. Some road works though(like residential streets) may not be up to prototypical standards.

Just past Longbridge.... and I'm beginning to wonder if anyone is interested. It seems as if nothing I create is appealing. Oh well. It doesn't matter, as long as I have fun! :D.

After living in Brum for 3 years i'm really interested to see how you get on with this :)

I had a go at making the Solihull-Tysley line a few years back but my comp struggled with the shear volume of content needed to recreate the area realisticaly.
One of my long term goals is to make a scale reproduction of the Bromsgrove area where I was born (not far from Barnt Green btw) as I have many fond memories of watching HST's flying up and down the lickey bank with my grandfather.

Good luck :wave:

Thanks everyone! Its nice to know that theres still room for a route(or 2!)

Eso, Thanks for your kind words. Some of my routes are inspired by yours, as I'm modern electric person(rather than steam, but is still welcome). I've come up as far as Longbridge as far as trackwork is concerned(Fairly quick, I know). I think Tommylommykins created a layout with Birmingham New Street during the 80's its not exactly what I want, but it will do, as I fear of finding trackmaps, etc. I'm not exactly sure how Nexusdj will react to his 166 reskinned by me(which i still feel silly about not reading the license). I only need some textures of B'ham New Street's Building(Large boxes above platforms) to reskin some boxes.

I'm also leaving for the great land itself! So wish me luck!!!
